The "Dream Season" for Hillcrest Sports rolls on as the Hawks
will play Robeson at UIC on Tuesday in the Supersectional. But
Rich South did have Hillcrest on the ropes in the 3rd quarter.
The turn around of the game was when Macari Brooks fouled
Jeremiah Horne of Hillcrest with 4.22 left in the 3rd. A
technical foul was called on Brooks after the foul when, instead
of handing the ball to the official, he tossed the ball into the
lap of Horne. From that point the Hawks went won a 10-0 run to
close the 3rd. Hillcrest went on a 7-0 run halfway through the
4th to seal the deal. ''I saw it in the players eyes they were
about to let it slip away," Coach Houston said. ''I told them
if we are going to go down, we are going down doing what we do.
We had to change defenses and turn up the pressure''. Hillcrest
went to a 2-3 zone and switched back to 1-3-1 trap that was too
much for the stars to handle in the 4th.
Top Performances- Hillcrest Eric Gaines-18 points,
Juilian Brown and Heb Offord-13 points each, Offord-11 points in
the 2nd half. Macari Brooks 13 points.

Stats of the week- If Hillcrest win Tuesday they will
have the Girls Basketball there Track team and the boys to all
go down state this year.
